Central Indiana-based small-batch artisan distiller Hotel Tango will be using Owens-Illinois’s (O-I) new Forte bottle for packaging its military-inspired spirits.

The bottles are a part of O-I's Covet Classics collection of luxury glass packaging products and services.

Available in various sizes, the company can change the bottles according to the requirements of customers using embossing, coatings, labels and closures (bar top, screw top and decanter-style) for a distinguished look.

The collection also offers design services to develop customized looks for customer brands.

The Forte bottle, which is a modern take on its classic Kaleido design, was released by O-I in February 2015.

With its taller shape, the bottle provides Forte's the company with a vertical canvas to take brand identities to a higher level.

The distillery was founded by Marine Corps veteran Travis Barnes in 2013.

Speaking about why they selected O-I's packaging, Barnes said: "Everybody who has seen the Forte design is immediately attracted to it and bartenders like the way it feels.

"It's good to know that we can place smaller, quicker orders now, and that we have the support and reliability of a leading global glass packaging manufacturer as we grow."

To date, Hotel Tango has launched spirits including Golf Gin, Lima Charlie Limoncello, Mike Moonshine, Romeo Rum and Victor Vodka.

The distillery packages all its products in O-I's 375 and 750 mL Forte and Kaleido bottles that its sells at Indianapolis.

With expansion plans in the offing, Hotel Tango's products might also be available at Indianapolis bars, restaurants and retailers.
